Here is the proper way to get a good cooldown after a race – provided you are a snow lover! This was taken at the Vorlage downhill ski area, near the start of the Wakefield Covered Bridge Run.
Spectators at the Wakefield Covered Bridge Run this morning. This is a favorite yearly event for the Sofits. We had a record numbers of participants this year in the 5K and 10 K runs, and a record amount of fun before, during and after the races.
Trilliums are out! It was a stunning spring day – perfect for strolling in the woods, looking for flowers and listening for birds…..and no bugs yet.
This goldfinch may have been hidden amongst the redpolls all winter in his drab, brown feathers. Isn’t he brilliant, now!?
A view of the Gatineau Hills from the Rockcliffe Parkway at sunset a couple of evenings past – no tripod, but luckily no tourists were congregated at that moment, so was able to rest the camera on the stone railing of the lookout.
